The Amen Corner North site consisted of fields of species and poor grassland. Traditionally circuses were hosted on the land every summer and latterly car boot sales. Amen Corner (North) was identified for future housing provisions under the Bracknell Site Allocations Local Plan (2013).
Outline planning permission for the Amen Corner development was first put in place in August 2014 by Wilson Developments before Bellway Homes took on the site. The plans were first granted by Bracknell Forest Council in March 2015.
Since then some 440 documents have been put through the planning system and several consultants took place with the developer and its partners, in order to ensure the transformation of the site is sensitive to the local Binfield area.In March 2016, Reserved Matters for the primary school building was granted with Reserved Matters for the residential portion of the site being granted in June 2016.
