With highway works along London Road in Binfield, between Coppid Beech roundabout and Murrell Hill Lane, now almost complete Bellway Homes will work on resurfacing works. The national housing developer, building 377 new home at Amen Corner will oversee re-surfacing works to start overnight from Monday 4th December. The work will be carried out between the hours of 8pm until 6am to minimise disruption. The work will continue until Thursday 14th December.
Amen Corner (North), will consist of 377 new homes, comprising of one and two-bedroom apartments, and two, three, four and five-bedroom homes including a selection of private and affordable housing for first-time buyers, families, down-sizers and young people. A new primary school will create 210 new school places for children from the Binfield area, including a sports field and hard playground area, and is set to open in September 2019.
Gary Hurley, project manager said: “We will endeavour to keep access the access to Merydene Court and Wentworth Place open however, we anticipate on the evening of Wednesday 6th December, we will be removing the existing tarmac course to London Road and re-surfacing the area, this will inevitably cause some delays if residents wish to enter/exit between 8pm and 6.00am.
“We will have lane closures in place to London Road and employ the use of traffic marshals to aid those entering or exiting the road.
“Please be assured we will do our utmost to keep noise and disruption to a minimum.”
The works will be carried out by highway specialists Walkers Construction in conjunction with PJ Brown on behalf of Bellway Homes.
